Hi, I’m Ameya and I help people stay healthy. I design blood tests to see if people are ill which requires creativity in coming up with ideas, and resilience when at first they don’t succeed. My curiosity about how things work motivates me to keep trying. I love engineering as I like to solve problems and make a difference to the people around me.

Ameya is motivated to help people and develops products for doctors to use in medical testing. He is working to make the tests easier to use, so that people can even use them at home to test themselves. Find out what makes up blood and why it is useful to test our blood. Mix up a blood model and do some colour change chemistry like the kind Ameya uses in his blood test kit
